With a wealth of wisdom and life experience, our team members are passionate about sharing the good news of Jesus inclusively and serving our community in culturally relevant ways. Meet the Team

Daniel & Laura Harman

lead Pastors

Daniel and Laura Harman co-lead CLC and have been married since 2005. They have three beautiful children, Talia [15], Sophie [10] and River [1]. Daniel is a second generation pastor and started preaching and leading at 15 years of age.  He is a passionate, faith-filled visionary leader with a big dream, a big heart and governmental authority. He is a strong teacher of the Word of God and is able to communicate in a way that people understand, can relate to and most importantly connect with.  In his spare time he enjoys reading, fitness training, following Portsmouth Football Club, eating out, music, and marketing and spending time with his family. Daniel also serves on the All Nations Movement National and Global Apostolic Team. Laura co-leads the church with Daniel and enjoys walking, going to the beach, eating out, cooking and traveling.

Lucy Swales

Lucy works with our children’s ministry, World Changers. She is married to Steven and they have 2 kids. She previously served as a school teacher. She likes to dance and paint in her spare time.

Talia Harman

Meet Talia, our youngest intern. She serves in kids and youth ministries, media/ production, and community outreach, and runs her own business, "Talia Harman - The Creative," specializing in photography, videography, graphic design, branding, and website development. In her free time Talia loves to bake, do art, skateboard and hang out with friends.

Meet Charlotte, she’s a recent graduate from Nexus University. She's come on our team as an intern with us for a year, where she's taken the lead in our youth ministry and become a great part of our worship team.

steven Swales

He is married to Lucy with 2 children, Rosie and Samuel.
Steven’s mum is a Christian, and he started going to church with her at a church in Odiham called The Vine Church when he was around 9 years old and attended the church’s youth group at weekends, and he gave his life to the Lord when he was 11 years old at a bible week called Stoneleigh in August 1992 and was baptised in November 1992. Then he met Lucy through an online dating site called Christian Connection in 2016 and they were married in October 2017. He moved to Portsmouth after their wedding, where he started attending CLC. They have since had 2 children; Rosie was born in January 2019, and Samuel was born in November 2020. For some of his hobbies, he enjoys Motorsport and model car racing, which he was pretty good at one time, being European Champion in 2003. Steven also enjoys playing and watching Tennis and Badminton.

Barbara Dollimore

Barbara Dollimore has come from a background as a science teacher and got saved on an Alpha Course at CLC many years ago. Barbara runs one of the largest Life Groups at CLC and is part of the Pastoral Care Team. She has a strong giftings in teaching, pastoral care and organisation. In her spare time she enjoys making jewellery, arts and crafts, and going to the gym.

Kevin lives in Worthing and attends City Life Church in Portsmouth. Lynn and Kevin have been married over 40 years and we both run a ministry in Worthing West Sussex. He has been a Christian since 1988. Some of his interests are walking and reading. The best thing he likes to do is to come alongside others and to see them discover who they are made to be. Kevin always loves the look on peoples faces when they discover something new.

Tony Williams

Tony is a gifted bible teacher, devoted prayer warrior and loving pastor with a prophetic edge. He and his wife Sue co-lead Living Waters Church in Paignton.

David Shadbolt

David is a prophet, author and has a background in business. He travels the world ministering and has written several books including God’s Healing for Businesses, and Hello David I’m God.

Esther Lombardi

Esther Lombardi has a background in education and brings a wealth of wisdom, knowledge and experience.  She speaks 5 languages, is extremely missional in her mindset and oozes the love of Jesus everywhere she goes.
